Yall know I'm ALL for this! LOUD designer, Jeremy Scott has linked up with Adidas once again to add another installment to the JS Wings line. This time around, JS called in the help of high fashion icon and muse, rapper A$VP Rocky to add his own flavor to the newest release. The JS Wings 2.0 "Black Flag" edition sneaker go right along the ever-so-oftenly utilized theme of A$VP Mob with their affinity for the color black and upside down black flags.  The Rebecca-Black-me-down sneakers include embroidered stars throughout the wings and hidden underneath stripes displayed on the side of the black canvas sneaks while having leather detailing on the back of the wings.

Energy, Destiny, Darkness: Blvck Scvle Releases Newest Look Book

Check out Black Scale 's new Fall/Holiday 2013 look book. Stepping away from the traditional picture book, the brand decides to takes the route of videography to create a more pansensory pleasing presentation of their new collection. The video features a narrative from model, Bradley Soileau, which parallels with the themes of the brand's new collection of darkness and the balance of energy. The brand still manages to stick it's roots of  aesthetically utilizing b&w, a mild use of color, religious allusions, and reversed imagery.

Yes, I bust out in patois when I get excited. Only in forms of communication that involves text, of course, but I digress. 

This past week in the world of entertainment, we've seen Miss. Fenty change up her hair for the 50 millionth time like a true black girl. You know it's true. Even with our internal Riri-should-be-changing-up-her-hair-soon timers always ready to go off, we never fail to marvel at her new choice of hairstyle. Even so, this is typical Rihanna behavior; we expect it. That's what she does. This is what we turn to her for; to give us coif life. But we NEVER expect this from Beyonce.

I've gotten cocky. I already KNOW I'm going to get where I've been trying to get all my life. I'm at the point where it's just a matter of when and how. But before this unbreakable confidence set in and matured into facts, I was a sheltered, super weird, mixed black girl from suburbia who grew up around more Italians than her own kind that had a strong will to dream. I was hungry. Don't get it twisted, I still am. Back then, though? I was STARVING.
