Jiggy Influence: ASAP Rocky and Chanel Iman Pose for Vogue September Issue

For anyone who follows the world of high fashion, you know the empirical importance of the September issue of Vogue. The content of the September issue serves as a fashion bible for the year, with editorials and articles carefully curated to lead, inspire and set the tone in fashion until the next September issue comes around. This particular issue holds so much weight in the fashion world that there's even a documentary dedicated to detailing it's production from inception. With all considering, it is a great deal that ASAP Rocky, a rapper that represents the streets and lifestyles of Harlem, was chosen to be featured in one of their game-changing editorials alongside his supermodel girlfriend, Chanel Iman to contribute to the landscaping of the high fashion world.

The power couple both known for their individual efforts and contributions to the fashion world joined forces to give some Dirty Dancing realness while effortlessly modeling (::COUGH:: selling the shit out of) their tango-esque,  designer garments with an air of sexual energy.

The Real World's Too Cold: NEW #LOUDartist Vanessa Elisha Drops EP

In a world where vulnerability is mistaken for weakness and hard exteriors are an emotional weapon of choice, it's refreshing to hear dope artists soulfully breakdown and sing their hearts out. One artist who fits the bill in particular is Australian R&B singer, Vanessa Elisha. 

With her use of dark and sultry beats paired with her soothing voice, Elisha will win you over by creating a trippy, romantic sound that's light but genuine. You can't help but zone out and reminisce about that old love that still lingers in your heart time-to-time while listening to her work. 

With a bubbling buzz (the chick is verified on Twitter!), the Aussie songstress is already on the radars of Bodega Bamz, ASAP Mob, and, even, DJ Pauly D. Don't be surprised if you hear Vanessa Elisha on a track with your favorite artist in the near future.

'L.O.R.D.': A$AP Mob Announces New Release Date for First Album

If you haven't noticed by now, I love me some ASVP Mob. Their presence and movement is like that of the Dipset days. Except a lot more chill and intentionally motivational. Just start at their namesake, ASAP, which is an acronym for Always Strive and Prosper. You can't get any more clearer about their positive intentions than that. What I like about them is that even though they push others to be themselves, believe in their dreams, and keep it movin', they don't follow any image of what society says motivational is suppose to look like. They don't act holier-than-thou or untouchable; they openly sin like the rest of us and embrace their short-comings. "Short nigga but my dick long" much? Non-stop sizzurp selfies on Insty? A$AP is a lot more relatable, tangible, and believable than how society would say they should be. This approach to life and the industry definitely works for them. Why? Because they remember that they're human.

L.O.R.D., the title of the new A$AP collective album, is due to release March 4th 2014.

New Music: A$AP Rocky Drops Video for "Angels"

Lvrd Flxcko aka rapper, A$AP Rocky, just released a video for his song "Angels" off his debut LP, Long.Live.A$AP. The video depicts the A$AP Mob in their alternate stomping grounds to Harlem: Lower Manhattan. Riding through the streets on BMX bikes with an IDGAF attitude while adorned in designer clothes and hockey masks a la Jason, this video starts out very reminiscent of "Peso". But it has been two years since "Peso" dropped, and Mr. Mayers knows better than to waste an impression on a duplicate video. As day turns into night, the crew begins to turn malevolent.

The video is just another under Rocky's belt as a director. British director, Luke Monaghan, who previously worked with Rocky on "Purple Kisses", had a hand in directing this video as well.

Cali to Harlem: A$AP Illz for Stussy Lookbook Fall 13

Cali-based clothing line, Stussy, just released their newest lookbook for Fall '13. Of course, we all know it wouldn't be a Stussy lookbook without A$VP Mob co-founder, A$VP Illz, being called on to model for the brand. They must love that Harlem x Cali connect.

#LOUDFashionRelease: Adidas X Jeremy Scott X A$VP Rocky JS Wings "Black Flag"

Yall know I'm ALL for this! LOUD designer, Jeremy Scott has linked up with Adidas once again to add another installment to the JS Wings line. This time around, JS called in the help of high fashion icon and muse, rapper A$VP Rocky to add his own flavor to the newest release. The JS Wings 2.0 "Black Flag" edition sneaker go right along the ever-so-oftenly utilized theme of A$VP Mob with their affinity for the color black and upside down black flags.  The Rebecca-Black-me-down sneakers include embroidered stars throughout the wings and hidden underneath stripes displayed on the side of the black canvas sneaks while having leather detailing on the back of the wings.
