Rebecca Jade Stays Strong on "Weather The Storm"

Giving a classic 1950s feel in her latest visual, singer Rebecca Jade is serving in "Weather the Storm." Detailing a heavy break-up, Jade soulfully depicts how she attempts to move forward on her own sans her former partner. Taking place at an airport, the artist belts her heart out on the tarmac before taking flight. When it comes to dealing with personal problems, some people choose to go out and take a drive to clear their minds. Jade on the other hand opts for piloting a plane solo dolo. With optimism and courage, it looks like Jade is taking healthy steps to move forward and start a new chapter in her life.

The Timeless Uncle Snoop

The story of how rapper Snoop Dogg has remained to be a Hip-Hop staple for over 20 years.

During a time when artists of old are struggling for a comeback, it seems like Hip-Hop legend Snoop Dogg never really left. The chronic endorsing artist, who first bust out onto the scene with his now classic album, Doggystyle, has consistently been creating hits over the years and ties to hold him over. This year alone, the rapper has found a way to incorporate himself into the hit Fox show, Empire, he just recently released his thirteenth studio album, BUSH, and on May 17th, the rapper will be featured on the Nickelodeon animated show, Sanjay And Craig as his fictional alter-ego, “Street Dogg”. Positioning himself as everybody’s favorite pseudo family member Uncle Snoop, the West Coast rapper gives off a feel of being that cool relative you can trust with all your not so wholesome excursions and confessions being that they’ve fucked up enough times themselves to not judge you for your stumblings. With all things considered, you still have to ask, “How can a former gangsta rapper sustain such a flourishing career long enough to be seen as a prime candidate to star in a kid-friendly show while still openly documenting his loud smoking habits on social media?” It’s that same transparent fluidity singer Rihanna has proven to have (Not many people could drop the number one family-oriented Pixar movie, Home and the ruthlessly demanding single, “Bitch Better Have My Money,” in the same week). Let’s take a look at how rapper Snoop Dogg remains timelessly relevant.

The Lost Files: G-Eazy Interview

Things are looking bright as fuck for the Cali-based rapper, G-Eazy. With his latest effort,  These Things Happen, topping the iTunes and Billboard charts and top rappers like Rick Ross, A$AP Ferg, and legendary west coast rapper, E-40 jumping on his tracks, Sir Gillum's finally seeing the fruits of years worth of consistent grinding to fulfill his dreams unfold. For any followers of Audio Fashion, you know I've been down with the G-Eazy movement since "I Be In the Lab". Sophomore year of college, '08 to be exact.

A couple of years back, circa 2010, I actually reached out to G-Eazy for an interview to be utilized for an investigative journalism piece I wrote, "The Extinction of the 9-5" for a class I was taking. Being that he was already gaining success before he even received his degree, I figured G-Eazy would be a great person to profile for my piece. Keep in mind, this interview was done when he was a Junior in college, trying to balance his superrrr indie music career with academics, and had just gotten a sample of what making it tasted like after opening for Lil' Wayne. Even back then, you can see G had the keys to lead him to his current success: persistence, faith, and consistency.

Luxury & Thigh Highs: The VienneMilano Way

Have you ever had the urge to pick up a pair of nice thigh high stockings? You know what I'm talking about. Just a nice pair of thigh highs to be utilized behind closed doors or just to make a fashion statement. I recently had one of those moments. It's been sitting on my WANTED LIST (aka wish list) for a couple of months now. All I wanted was a nice pair of black thigh highs with a lacey detail at the top. I never realized how much of a challenge it could be to pick up a good pair of thigh highs! I'm plus-sized so you know I had to look all over the place: online boutiques, Lane Bryant, you name it. Now, I'm not a frequent Lane Bryant customer (or one at all), but I decided to check them out because...why not? Seems like it would be the best bet for me, right? WRONG. All they had were grandma stockings and last time I checked, I had zero kids to even be in the running to be a g-ma. In result, I momentarily gave up.

Alas, the story doesn't stop there! I ended up finding the EXACT type of thigh highs I was looking for. I couldn't wait to pair them with the combat boots I didn't own just yet. Finally, right? Wrong again. I tried on the thigh highs and they just didn't fit right. Yes, they went past my knees, but they just didn't look right being that they didn't go up high enough on my thigh. Boo to the hoo.

Apparently this thigh high search is not just a personal problem. Vienne Cheung, founder of the luxury thigh high brand, VienneMilano, started up her business because she was having a similar problem. A traveling enthusiast, Cheung would have to handle all her thigh high needs while in Europe and Asia due to her "inability to find a wide variety of luxury hosiery in the USA".

WORST

This is me at my worst. WORST. Bottom-of-the-barrel worst. the funny thing is, I always tell myself, "You look 10x's better than you think your do even on your worst day. And this was definitely my worst lol. I have to admit, I DON'T look as bad as I thought I did and felt. Blind confidence is key. Who don't love some signature bum chic and wild child hair from Miz Kane?! Trick question! I do and that sets the tone. You really can't tell me nothing once my mind is made up.
